Never liked Pitt w Fleury to go deep but they would beat us in a series. Closer then Boston probably but either WC slot will doom this team

Lots of hockey left there are no must win games yet IMO including today but the games now are big.

And I agree for sure. Philly deserves a ton of credit. Pitt has a minor league team out there outside of Malkin and Crosby, but still a great job to take 4 points this weekend as we lose to Carolina and Minny (which wouldn't be terrible if we beat Carolina).

I like that Philly team. Certainly improved on D. Their O is always deep. If Mason is solid, not great but solid, they will be a tough out.

Truth be told I think Philly and CBJ are better teams than us right now.

No doubt, no must win yet, but I do really think that if we lose today we will be 8. I think it would be tough for us losing 3 of 4, and with both those teams having 2 games in hand and being real hot.

I think we make the playoffs almost for sure. I just think today's game is very large to try and avoid the 8 spot.

Not really worried about the Capitals but nice of Toronto to completely not show up today too....down 3-0 to Wash. Its just funny at this point. If we lose today the Craps only 2 pts back w a win

Yeah, we both agree we just need to win, but it is pretty comical how we have gotten just about zERO help outside of NJ beating Philly earlier in the week. Crazy stuff.

Big game today. Let's see if our guys show up.

As long as most of these HTH matchups don't result in alot of 3pt games things should tighten up from Toronto on down through Detroit. I think they may be able to catch MTL but last night really hurt. Like you said Pitt would be easier than Boston but if they get players back it'll be tougher. MTL plays DET twice, Boston, Chicago and Columbus so that could pull them back a little.

Once again every other game goes against. Hopefully no other contenders play Pitt because they don't help at all.

    Seriously SC....Its getting ridiculous

I love how Detroit scores a goal off a Pitt player with .4 left in OT to guarantee the extra point

Philly is freaking on fire and they are beating good teams

Philly won in OT with under 5 seconds left Tuesday night. Detroit wins in OT with under 1 second left tonight. Those OT wins over SO wins help for the ROW TB.

It is almost comical. Philly wins every game now. CBJ wins just about every game now (outside of their last game). Pitt is killing us as they get beat in every game that we want them to win.

I will say this right now, tomorrow night is the biggest game of the season for us thus far. We lose tomorrow night and we are best case a WC. To me it is that simple. No must win because we can (and I think will) still get the WC. But if we lose tomorrow night say goodbye to 2 or 3 in the Met division. Best case we are a WC.

Huge game. Even with a win we are no lock for the 3 spot in the Met, but a loss and I think we can kiss it good bye (especially considering CBJ's schedule and they'd be 2 up with a game in hand still). And with CBJ playing tonight, we have no excuse. We certainly can win tomorrow at CBJ.

Didn't win, but got a point in LA, which is still big. They are 1 back of us, but we do have a game in hand and the TB.

HUGE game tonight...really is if we want the 3 spot in the Met. Plus with everyone else winning we need points to hold onto a WC spot as well.

Big two days for us. At CBJ and at NJ. Tonight is very big.

The Rangers can't look at it like they aren't getting help. They need to play with the same high-intensity every game and not be concerned with anyone else other than their opponent. But yeah, no one can over-state just how important tonight's game is....and then Sunday's game....and Monday's game...and Wednesday's game. 3 of the next 4 are against playoff teams w NJ being the exception.

Don't care about "help" at this point. Currently the team is in a position where it can make the playoffs only worrying about themselves and no one else and that's what they should be looking at. If they do what they're supposed to do we won't have to worry about other teams helping us.

They've played like shit against NJ all year long and it needs to stop. They need to win that game, period. NJ sux, for F's sake.

No one is saying feel sorry for the Rangers since they are getting no help. No one is saying they should rely on help to get them in. But it is crazy how all these teams the Rangers would like to lose are winning. Good for those team for getting it done though.

But what can you do. We cannot worry about that. We need to take care of our own business, that's the way it should be. Win to get in.

And while I think both games are very important, and we all hate the Devs so we want to beat them, I think tonight is more important than the Devil game for sure. This game is against a team tied with us for the 3 spot in our divison, which means automatic playoffs, and potentially a better 1st round matchup as well.

This isn't about relying on other teams....It's just amazing how little help NYR get on this stuff. Detroit is missing like 5 centers and still beats the Pens who have basically laid down for every team that is fighting for a playoff spot vs NY
