The idea of a trade with Memphis to have them agree not to play Darius in one more game isn't a bad one, except for the fact that the Grizzlies don't have Darius wrapped up for the rest of the season. If they don't play him, what's to keep him from signing a 10-day contract with another team once this one with the Grizzlies is finished?

It's not ugly at all. These messages are sent all the time through the league. Only people who don't bother to read carefully or do research think the Blazers look at all bad in this situation.

Kind of ironic: remember how we got Miles in the first place? Cleveland was desperate to unload him because they thought he was already being a bad influence on their star young player.

Miles won't be with them once he plays his 10th game.

Now it is my turn . . you have no idea what you are talking about.

I would respond, but your ignorance is so deep I'll save the time.

That post just shows your level of ignorance.

Have I missed one of your other canned responses

Miles was getting 100% of his contract whether he played or not. Insurance was paying 80% and Blazers 20% from what I understand. Now Blazers pay 100%. Well... actually it may be 100% minus whatever Griz pay him. I don't think he gets more money than his original contract.

Money issues asside... it is the cap space that I sure pissed Blazers off... not the $$$.

Paul Allen let go of the Rose Garden because of operating money during good economic times. Picking up Miles' full contract and then having to sprinkly some luxury tax money on bottom-feeder organizations like Memphis isn't going to exactly increase the budget in the midst of a real recession.
