CJ is actually pretty skilled at attacking the basket. I'd like to see some more of that. I agree we need another PG on the roster in case CJ is struggling but with his driving and 3pt shooting it might be best to have a defensive PG. Lillard is terrible defensively and CJ wasn't any better as a rookie so that's the one dimension we are missing from the PG position.

I'd be pleased if Barton could bring some steady Corey Brewer type production. I was pleased with what I saw with him when given time last year. He can put the ball through the hoop and brings it defensively.

CJ's asset IMO will be in his ability to create his own shot because he can do the three things necessary to keep the defense guessing. He is a threat from long range, and has a nice pull up mid range shot off the dribble and he is creative attacking the basket. But he is still a SG IMO. Making him play the point will take away what he does best. I would much rather have Will focus on the PG responsibilities and let CJ focus on scoring.

Regardless we need one more PG even if Barton makes the transition, but even then he should be the 3rd string PG. You need 3Pg's.

Chris Haynes reiterated this on Courtside -- the team views CJ as a SG.

I thought his SPL play made that crystal clear.

With Wes due for a big pay day next summer, this is a huge season for Urkel.

Hopefully he has a growth spurt, otherwise he'll always be a back-up, IMO.
