For those that say it was good "experience", we were saying the same thing the last time we were in the second round. Shit changes throughout the season, you have to win now.
We saw the difference between a team that's "been there" and a team that has not. This was not worst loss ever. Very disappointing because the prospect of stealing a game on their home court was so delicious, and so damn close. But please do remember this Blazers team was supposed to be one of the very worst in the NBA this season, and the Warriors are defending champions coming off a record setting season. It's David and Goliath without a slingshot, if you will. The worst loss ever? I was in Los Angeles on a certain cursed June day that will live forever in Blazers infamy. The Blazers were 10 minutes away from the NBA Finals. We know what happened. I had to sit through it. Last night's pain in comparison was a turned ankle vs. a compound fracture, concussion, and arsenic poisoning all at the same time.
It's weird I really didn't get that upset last night, definitely didn't lose any sleep. We're playing with house money. It sucks seeing the team play so well for 3 quarters and not reward themselves by closing it out though.
The only Portuguese I know is mais uma cerveja por favor. And after that loss, it would have been a good thing to be able to say.
It's a very young team. This by far is NOT the worst loss in Blazer history. It stings. It would sting a lot more if this year were expected to contend. It would sting a lot more if it was game 7. This just stung a bit last night, but I am already over it. I guess, because it's not my first rodeo on a 4th quarter collapse in the playoffs. I'm not sure what tweaking is needed, but it seems like back up PG, PF, and probably C. We need to sort out that third consistent scorer.
and almost all of those guys are on different teams this season...other than a couple guys...it's a basically a rookie season as a team
