    Please, cashman has nothing to do with this, the offense needed to have a fire lit underneath them, and thats not cashman's job! joe tries to be a different coach, banning ice cream from the clubhouse, days off no matter the sitation, that ain't leadership, thats coddling, its on the skipper!

    Pasta, I tend to agree this lineup needed some type of tweaking , if you want to use the word fire, okay by me. Girardi should've given this lineup a big shake up a few times to the point where it would be obvious that the manager was disappointed with the production he's has been getting...and he should've done it over a month ago and continued to do it on occasion throughout.

    I think he should've put Ellsbury in the leadoff spot and left him there.
    I also think Girardi was put in a tough situation with Jeter batting 2nd as he began to fade offensively to the point where has become a weak hitter with hardly any power - he has 19 extra-base hits at this point -- 19!
