I mean if we went down this road Ilyasova would interest me. Shabazz Muhammad might be worth a look. But I’d rather just keep Baldwin.
Mitchell.....YES. I want #15 to fill a spot. He looks like he has the energy level that Stotts needs in the end of 3rd and mid 4th Q's.
Well if we were willing to go into the luxury tax, we do have the tax-MLE still available, but I don't see that happening. Technically we could also offer a multi-year deal to any of these guys while other teams can only offer the minimum.
True, but like you said, I don’t see that happening, not with the guys expected to be available at least.
I looked it up and from what I gathered we are allowed one 10 day contract guy at a time since we have 13 players on the active roster (Baldwin doesn’t count) As for the $, I don’t believe any would cost more than about $80k So I definitely think it’s an option.
The idea was we take a look at someone on a ten day and if we like him we sign him for the rest of the season.
Rashad Vaughn a 6 foot 6 SG who hasn't done shit in the league since drafted 17th a couple years ago is getting waived after traded twice in a week. He is a candidate for a 10 day contract once he clears waivers.
We don't really need him but Willie Reed has been waived and I thought he was actually doing pretty well for Clippers before they included him in the blockbuster trade.
BTW I was wondering, what is the benefit for the team that are letting the player go that they get from agreeing to a buyout? . The player still counts against the cap until the end of his deal, right?
To be fair, you aren't going to find a game changer on waivers. We are talking about the 14th player on a roster here. But I actually agree with you in this case. He wouldn't be my first pick.
