He was the one who actually proposed the bet. It was right around the time the stimulus checks were being passed about.

I said I got $900 back from stimulus check.

Then later on in discussion I was saying there is no way Trump is going to get re-elected. He disagreed and proposed he’d bet me the amount of my stimulus check that Trump would beat Biden if he’s the candidate. I said deal.

Are you talking about the $50 Billion that was owed to Iran, none of which came out of the U.S. Treasury? Much of that money was held in foreign banks. We just gave them permission to pay back money that was owed to Iran.
So, you see, the money we gave to Iran didn't cost us a single penny.

Since this is a “Trump Positive” space, I seriously want to post something positive about him. And that is, I never would have believed it but the man has done an outstanding job of bringing the majority of Americans together. I honestly could not ask for anything more.

 

I think American never realized how important a competent administration is before Trump.

I'd probably still rank Andrew Jackson first on that score, but worst modern President ever? Trump has little competition--even Nixon was probably slightly better, though Nixon is probably the closest comparable to Trump, in terms of corruption and race-baiting.

 

I'm no historian so I know little about President Jackson.
