When does an obvious threat to society get their rights removed? Felons lose some rights. If for sure guilty, people like this deserve no rights and should be removed from society.
killing them only costs more because of how long it takes. This has been discussed. It only costs more becuase we make it cost more.
This is indisputable and something you continually omit when trying to make the same point about the costs.
You really should remove the cost equation out of your counter, everyone knows why it costs more and everyone knows we can make it cost less.
Some people deserve nothing more than a fast track removal.

I don't support permanent removal of anybodys rights (as killing them would be), because our justice system is wrong far too often.

I don't support fast track killing anybody because that is more likely to be abused and kill innocent people. We have the right to due process for a reason.

Due process is why it costs so much to kill prisoners legally. I am not at all interested in allowing the right to due process to be restricted.

The argument you're making now to weaken our constitutional right to due process is why we should eliminate killing prisoners all together.

We gain nothing at all by allowing the government to kill people.

Sure. When void of all human nature and emotion. We are not a vulcan race. Well not most of us anyhow.
Gains are there for most who are human.

There are no gains that civilization should encourage.

Piece of mind is a real thing. For sure.

The "piece of mind" that comes from killing people who aren't a threat to society isn't important or beneficial to society at all.

Torturing prisoners of war may give you "piece of mind". But it's not something we should encourage.

Looks like the (alleged) murderer graduated from OSU in 2022 in Engineering and went to Southridge HS in Beaverton.
