one good thing about Oregon going to the Big-10 is that conference doesn't allow members to play FCS teams like Portland State. IIRC, they are the only P-5 conference with that rule
It's always nice to see them in the first game, even vs an FCS team. But I just couldn't get up for it this year for the first time in probably a decade. Losing the PAC-12 has really taken it's toll...
Their first game of the season the past 5 or so have been amazingly tough if I’m not mistaken. They deserve a year offf.
Guess nobody thought the Duck deserved a year off... https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/s...pses-after-eye-popping-modern-scoring-record/
I think the Pac-12 will be a bloodbath this year. I would not be surprised if no team had less than 2 conference losses. Even the lower tier teams look strong
I don't think a team learns or grows by playing a Portland State. Both their offensive ann defensive lines just stink today. And their defensive backs keep making stupid and unnecessary penalties.
Probably time for Oregon to stop trying to run. Although it appears Wyoming mostly ran successfully against Texas Tech.
The ducks did not deserve to win this. Extremely sloppy. Lots of penalties. Just doesn’t seem very well coached right now.
