Time to open up that check book and start making monthly contributions to Ducks Rising, Nate. Every dollar matters! https://www.ducksrising.com/football
I do give monthly. Wouldn't be right of me to piss and moan that we're not getting better players if I didn't at least give something. I also donate to the Duck Athletic Fund. Neither are life changing amounts, but if everyone at Autzen gave what I gave each year, it would more than triple the estimated amount of what the collective gives out now, and Oregon's collectives are near the top in the country as is. People underestimate how far a little bit of money from a lot of people can go, they want Phil to pay for it all.
I agree... seems like a major missed opportunity. Though I also suspect a lot of people are like "Phil gives millions every year, so my $50/month won't make a difference." Until you go $50 x 12 months = $600 x 55,000 people = $33m/year. Most estimates I've heard have the top collectives paying football players at or around $10m/year.
Oregon is pretty set in it's WR rotation next year, but with Holden and Johnson moving on after next season there should be a major role available in 2025. The other receivers of note who will still be on board after next season include Gary Bryant Jr, Kyle Kasper & Jurrion Dickey. Oregon has been recruiting McClellan long before he verbaled to tOSU probably in part because he comes from Lanning's home turf. The speculation I've read though is that he sticks with his Buckeye pledge STOMP
Assuming Tex is coming back, he's going to be the guy in the slot. I'd think Oregon would like to hit the portal to find a WR1 to replace Franklin.
that would be quite the cherry on top for this day, his tape is outstanding Another big shoe just dropped as CB Sione Laulea has signed. He's expected to be their best cover guy going forward STOMP
