I think Fisch is a good coach and average recruiter. He's also never stayed anywhere as long as he did at Arizona I know some Duck fans are thinking this was a home run hire by the UW...I'm not one of them
He’s gonna leave for Florida whenever that spot opens up. This was just a pure cash grab so I can see why this would upset his players so much. It’s not like going to Bama.
That's why it will be funny if it blows up in his face. But if he's on the Taggart/Mario route, he'll do okay next season, get the job at Florida and then fail miserably and be done.
I'm not, either. I mean, he was one of the better hires they could have made, because Jedd will bring a lot of players with him (including an up and coming QB). But yeah, Jedd's going to bounce the fuck out once Florida opens. He doesn't worry me as a Ducks' fan.
He'll do ok and if he succeeds right away, they will do everything to keep him. He's got it made up there really. No way they let the same scenario play out like with DeBore. Same with us ,after two years of Lanning and some improvement on D and recruiting, he has it made and we don't lose him.
so do I! yes, it could be some wishful thinking on my part. NCAA football is now essentially like the NBA if the NBA had 4 times as many teams, there were only 1 year player contracts, no restrictions on free agency, no tampering rules, no salary cap or luxury tax, and every team had dozens of openings every single season. It's the Wild West on steroids and Red Bull
It's like we went back to when Paul's money meant something....... except it's worth even more. And we have a much better coach than Mike Dunleavy's weak ass.
