    Yeah, pretty much.

Alcohol is MUCH more deadlier than MJ. But Alcohol is legal, thus people turn a blind eye. Think of all the addicts in rehab for booze; now ask yourself, have you ever heard of people going to rehab for months because of MJ? Probably very rare.

The problem w/MJ is the fact that its illegal in many places for whatever reason and the tons of negative publicity that it elicits from the Govt/States. So people are effectively brain washed into thinking its 10x worse than alcohol...

The problem with EACH drug, is the user. Of course the Captain Morgans commercials would have you thinking otherwise! I wonder if they'll ever be MJ commercials, lol.

I don't smoke, never have gotten into it, but saying it's worse than alcohol for people is a complete farce.

The problem with MJ has nothing to do with alcohol, Alcohol is a problem for people with certain character types. MJ is a problem for anyone that uses it.
The two are unrelated and really not comparable, nor can one justify the other.
Both are another problem for people to be confronted with and that is unfortunate.

I don't want to see MJ illegal to have or use but I do want it to be illegal for anyone to sell.
If anyone sells it to a kid, I want his ass whipped in the public square the first time and a long time in jail for another offence.

Wha??? How is it a problem for everyone who uses it. Just cause you can test positive fore it weeks later, doesn't mean you're under the influence for that entire length of time. In the end, why should it matter if at the end of the day someone goes home and has a scotch, a beer or a joint?

And I'm sorry to tell you, but as a teenager (10 or so years ago), it was much much much easier to buy pot than booze or cigarettes. If anything, making it legal, but controlled, will make it harder for kids to buy.

Have you ever needed to send someone to treatment because they cared more about their nightly session with MJ than doing there job.?
Have you ever seen people in detox for long excessive use of booze or MJ?
Did you know it takes much longer to successful detox a long time MJ abuser than it does the long time Alcohol abuser?
Did you know the treatment programs for long time alcohol abusers is far more successful than the programs to treat long time MJ abuse?
Do you have any idea why it is more difficult to treat the long time MJ abuser than the long time alcohol abuser?

Willie Nelson is the only long time pot user I know that has been very successful doing it. Sometimes I wonder if he isn't also the one of the
top BSers as well as successful musician song writer.

Please post your experience if you have any these areas, I am sure it would help someone if they really want to know.

There is one caveat to the successful treatment of the long time alcohol abuser, you have to get the person into treatment before they are dead. Usually the window there is not open all that long.

Dude I really don't know where you are getting your facts on marijuana...Are you Bobby Boucher and your mother taught you everything?

Did you know that long time marijuana use won't kill you?
Did you know that long time alcohol use will kill you?
Did you know that it is incomprehensible to me that some one in today's day and age actually thought when you get high it lasts for weeks?

Don't get me wrong I agree people shouldn't sell to children, but public whipping? I assume you were being sarcastic, but I can't tell with you...

    1. That is Wikipedia which strongly lacks ethos, and I don't care to go traverse through the references to find credible sources.

    Let's assume that is correct.

    2. Notice how it says "In the US, as of 2013 cannabis is the substance most commonly identified used by people admitted to treatment facilities." Which is not necessarily stating that MJ is the most common reason people seek treatment.

You can drown in water. I don't see that danger as a reason to outlaw it.

A large fine which would go to local schools. And prison time.

On all the issues. You'll see.

Democrats and republicans have given us war and poverty and dependence on the state and high taxes to pay for it all.

Gradually people will fully come around.

Yeah when I read that I decided the debate is no longer worth it. Dude is brainwashed. What's funny is I don't even like MJ so I could care f'n less about this situation, but to have that position is just ignorant.
