The Orioles have interest in trading for Padres starter Andrew Cashner, according to a report from Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. San Diego is reportedly willing to trade starting pitching, with Cashner, Tyson Ross and James Shields among the potential names on the block.

Baltimore is known to be looking for starting pitching after losing free-agent lefty Wei-Yin Chen to the Marlins last month, and has been linked extensively to both Yovani Gallardo and Mat Latos on the free-agent market. The Orioles currently have Chris Tillman, Miguel Gonzalez, Ubaldo Jimenez, Kevin Gausman and Mike Wright slotted into an unimpressive rotation mix that has gotten weaker with the departure of Chen.
