Bush specifically said it was not a priority back in 2002. You're only as good as your leader. Obama made it a priority and got it done. It was part of his platform. Get the fuck out of Iraq and go after the guys responsible for 9/11. Two years later, he kills bin Laden.
Excellent point from Fox in between their praising Bush: bin Laden saw the US as a paper tiger. Thought that they had no stomach for a long war. Saw that after his attacks that they kept pulling out. And today, we proved him wrong.

I'll be interested to find out whether or not one of our SEALs shot him or whether or not a Bin Laden lackey did it to ensure he wouldn't be captured. There were always rumors that he wouldn't want to be taken alive and had orders for his underlings to shoot him if he were at imminent risk of being captured alive.
From the book The Osama Bin Laden I Know, he's had a 24/7 bodyguard for years that has orders to shoot Osama if he is for sure going to be captured. I think it's reasonable to question whether we actually killed him or not.
