Passing time. This place is dead. Care to add anything of more significance?

I do hate the Network, and I hate the Mariners for constantly being pushed down the throats of Oregonians by both the Network and the team.

Shockingly just because they're the only baseball team in the northwest not everyone wants to watch them - especially when they cut into college football time. Just like they did last week for an hour of the Ducks/Boilermakers game and people got upset.

My initial guess is, their contract with the Mariners supersedes all others in the same time-slot? :dunno:

    ...

I know it does. That doesn't mean I'm magically going to be super happy about it. Just another example of the Mariners being shoved down the throats of Oregonians - just like how most of Oregonian will receive the Seahawks broadcast by Fox tomorrow.

I'm not quite certain what the solution would be, then. An all-Oregon sports network? Wasn't that tried/failed at one time?

My bad, I suppose I mistook whining for irreverent, facetious banter.

It failed because Paul Allen was impatient. You could say Comcast is a somewhat all Oregon sports network.

Cept for those who can't get it.

There is no solution for the college football issue - only compromise. Schedule the start times better so they don't overlap with baseball games, don't cut out of cfb games that aren't over. With the NFL the Seattle games should be shown on FSN too so that if there is a more highly anticipated matchup on Fox Oregonians don't have to miss it to see an atrocious NFC west game like last week.

Was that, perhaps, around the same time the Blazers were enduring their broken economic model?

I don't exactly recall, but I think it was right about the time when things started hitting the fan.

Think of it this way...rumor has it he sold all of the HD stuff he bought..for pennies on the dollar.

They have a fundamentalist dominatrix on their coaching staff? I wonder if UO or OSU have considered that approach? :devilwink:
