Lucky. Defense bails em out again. We'd be losing if it weren't for the defense. The offense is sucking balls with this shitty conservative play calling.
I have to hand it to ASU's defense, they are VERY sure tacklers. That last one where James had the corner but got tripped up at the last second was a microcosm of tonight.
They should just start taking a knee every time. At least that way there wouldn't be a chance for a fumble or an INT.
Maybe they should start bringing the defense out on both sides of the ball. At least those guys are getting things done!
Seriously......... come the fuck on dude! Stop running the ball. There's eight guys waiting for James every time he touches the ball.
This is chickenshit football. Just trying to run the clock out for most of the second half and milk an 11 point lead. Pathetic.
Chip should take his defense out for dinner after this. They bailed his ass out tonight. Seven turnovers? That's nuts.
Its one of those times where they just wanted to get out of there with the victory. ASU's defense had also been out there a lot with Threet throwing so many picks that they were looking to tire them out for a big run. It looked to me like Chip just wanted to get the hell out of dodge.
Yeah... I realize that.... but it's still frustrating. If we hadn't had all those picks, we could have very easily lost that game.
If, if and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. On the flip side of that, teams that turnover the ball over 7 times don't deserve to win. Not to mention the easy path that Casey Matthews had to a touchdown that was stopped by a bogus call and then phantom pass interference that took back a pick 6. This was just a weird game all around, but I was impressed by ASU's defense. The time of possession was ridiculously in favor of ASU, they were starting to wear down the defense and Chip wanted to even things out. Teams that dominate time of possession generally dominate games. Road games in the Pac-10 are no piece of cake anyway you slice it.
