The Wolves looked damned good tonight ... Rubio and Love on pick and rolls looks like something they can build off of.
I had serious doubts about him transitioning to the NBA game ... now that I see him, I'm starting to think he's custom made for it and his lack of fit in the ACB was the problem. He makes that whole team look better when he's on the floor (as if Love needed his job made that much easier). If they aren't a playoff team this year, they should be one next year.
Similarly, I was reading today that Petteri Koponen's talents are better suited for the NBA than Europe. Here he assists to Batum before they were drafted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU9irScsBK4 more pre-draft Koponen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGEK7USKl9M
You are aware we traded his rights to Dallas, right? But fortunately, he is nothing like the talent Rubio is. He's a dreaded combo guard - they play him mostly at off-guard on his Italian team.
Minnesota could be scary in the future. OKC is going to have to decide on giving Ibaka or Westbrook the max (or near max) deal under the new CBA. If I were Minnesota I'd be making moves now to assure that there will be enough money to throw a huge deal at Ibaka. Rubio/Love/Ibaka o0
Hmmm ... That's a nice front-court, but that Minny team seems kind of "wing challenged" I know they've got Johnson and Beasley, but there's just something about them that doesn't click for me. Whatever they do, they at least look like they'll be decent, especially with that coaching staff (Adelman, Porter, Bayno, etc.).
If Bynum keeps this up and stays healthy, Kobe is going to become a problem. The worst game of his career, today.
Andrew Bynum looks great but this is the perfect time to trade him, imo. I would go after Dwight Howard hard with Bynum/Pau. Well no I'm not impressed by his Derek Fisher stats that said he was a role player.
Yes, that's why I put it in the Around the NBA thread. I had been looking for new information about him and that's all I found.
Because of the last 2 paragraphs in this article, I will never read Kelly Dwyer again. I am just sick of him. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba..._ylt=A0PDlNXhKwJPukoA2QMQmNIF?urn=nba-wp12692
Speaking of the Spurs, Manu broke a bone in his hand today. Out ~ 6 weeks. He's their best player, so that's huge
