I feel for Bynum. Having blowing out my knee I know what he's going through. That part where he tried to extend the leg and immediately screamed is exactly what happened to me back in 2004. I injured my knee differently but that particular part I mentioned above gave me a flash back. I tore my ACL. I hope it's not the same result for 'Drew.

Well if it's career ending so be it. Do I feel bad for the guy? Sure, shit happens. Am I happy that it benefits my team and hurts another? Yes, I'm comfortably able to sleep at night knowing that I had nothing to do with him getting injured. However, if you think I watch games and wish players to purposely get hurt, that is not what I'm saying. If a player gets hurt then that is the risk he took when playing the game.

Fisher: "Fascinating. I wonder whether a hamster would react the same way to a similar injury? Or does having four legs make an injury to one less important?"

Pau: "Hah! I guess I'm the big man on the team now!"

Kobe: "Pussy. I wonder if he'd get up and play if I kicked him in the face a few times?"

Walton: "I wonder if my dad is here tonight?"

Yeah, me too -- almost the identical injury, identical "explosion in my knee" feeling, identical screaming and inability to straighten my leg... identical blown ACL.

I hate the Lakers, but I hope that Bynum's injury is somehow not as bad as it looked on TV. I want to see Bynum and Oden battling for the next ten years... we got to keep them both healthy, though.

Am I the only one impressed by the fact that after this the Grizzlies were playing 5 on 3 and STILL failed to score?

    Oh, fuck the Lakers :-)

You can tell Kobe feels like shit. The look on his face says it all. It reminds me of when Marbury landed on Kenyon Martin years ago. Same kind of thing, if I remember correctly.

beyond tough if bynum is out, they looked poised to make a run this year. i really like our chances in the playoffs against LA without bynum though.

Actually I was thinking the quote from Walton should have been "If my dad had not played so well would I be in the league today? "

Well he did go apologize after the game. I don't think Bynum is a bad dude, just makes stupid decisions. I know he meant to foul Wallace, but the kid is not smart enough to think it through. He is a really goofy immature kid.

I wouldn't hasten to estimate the extent of Bynum's injury based on how he reacted or how it "looked". Very serious injuries can happen even if it didn't "look" very bad at all. Martell Webster is a perfect example: his injury was pretty serious, yet he continued to play throughout the game he got injured in.

I hate to see anyone go down for an injury, even if they're part of one of your rivals. This is basketball, let's not get carried away ;)

After hearing a million Oden is a bust/injury prone player jokes I just can't feel sorry for anyone else.

I'm not like cheering he got hurt, but I definitely don't feel sorry for anyone, that's for sure.

    Shit happens.

This is what I meant. I'm not glad Bynum is injured, but I don't give a shit how the Laker fan base feels.

    That's kind of funny, admittingly.

    Am I a bad person?
