OT - Clippers Owner Donald Sterling to GF -- Don't Bring Black People to My Games

I think it's too late for that honestly... He's a racist pig and I'm sure if he gives in, she will keep the black mail going. There is no turning back now, IMO.

 

Frankly I am shocked that people seem to lack the ability to understand why this is in fact a significant situation. Ignorance and age are no excuse especially for a person in the public eye in a city as diverse and large as LA.

 

How would you like to be Sterling's PR person right now? Now there's a tough job.

 

There's no turning back, but she can make it way worse for him. He's a billionaire, throw some money to sweep her under the rug. Fighting it is the dumbest thing he can do. The story will go away on its own eventually, no sense in prolonging it.

 

At $500 an hour, I'd be loving it.

 

Wait a minute! I want to go on record, saying he is clearly a douché bag racist. But my post is just explaining that Sterling isn't going to get hurt here. He won't be losing sleep on this matter because, even if he's forced to sell, he will still make out like a bandit. He is 80 years old... He will have more money than he knows what to deal with. Only people getting hurt are fans and the players in the NBA.

 

I get that completely mags, he has made his whole career as the Cljppers owner by being a bottom feeder, making his profits from revenue sharing rather than actually trying to be successful.

There are always one or two extremists, but I must be missing the board sentiment that what Sterling said is no big deal.

There isn't a board sentiment and I recognize that there are definitely pot stirrers. I'm hearing people calling into radio programs saying they don't see how it's a deal too. Not a majority by any means but no leas ignorant than Sterling.

 

Too bad for Sterling that he didn't just commit a crime. Had he, this would be a non story by now.

 

Good point. This slim-balls crimes have gone unreported for years. Glad the chickens are finally coming home to roost.

 

Let the conspiracy theories begin! According to Rush Limbaugh, Sterling is targeted because he did not give enough money to Obama's campaign. Why a Republican would give to a Democratic president's campaign in the first place, and why Sterling was supposedly singled out when there are plenty of other Republican owners was not explained. But then logic and Limbaugh never coexist.
