I'm happy for Gasol. Other than that, my night is ruined.

    Fuck.

Speaking of Gashole, does Chris Wallace get a ring too?

I really don't mind most of the L*kers right now, with the exception being Derek Fisher. Dude is a fucking dickwad. I hate that fucker.

I don't mind the Laker players at all. I actually like most of them.

Its the people that cheer for them (or most of them) I deem to be pig-headed jock lickers who are completely undeserving of this kind of glory.

Nahhh don't wish harm on the players, they're merely doing their job.

Direct your hate at the fanbase - the ones who actually deserve it.

Completely agree. I used to hate Kobe with ungodly passion, but honestly, he deserves it for working so hard and being so focused.

Their lame ass fans on the other hand...honestly, I think that's where most of the L*ker hate comes from...their fans are the biggest dipshits on earth.

When Michael Jordan played, players could handcheck you on defense. Scoring efficiency is up leaguewide since the rule change...so it's hard to say that the current era is tougher than the handcheck era.

    Career:

    PPG: MJ - 30.1 > Kobe - 25.1
    RPG: MJ - 6.2 > Kobe - 5.3
    APG: MJ - 5.3 > Kobe - 4.6
    SPG: MJ - 2.3 > Kobe - 1.5
    BPG: MJ - 0.8 > Kobe - 0.6
    TOV: MJ - 2.7 > Kobe - 2.8

    FG%: MJ - 49.7 > Kobe - 45.5
    FT%: Kobe - 84.0 > MJ - 83.5
    3PT%: Kobe - 34.1 > MJ - 32.7
    eFG%: MJ - 50.9 > MJ - 48.8
    TS%: MJ - 56.9 > Kobe - 55.8

    PER: MJ - 27.9 > Kobe - 23.6
    O-Rtg: MJ - 118 > Kobe - 112
    D-Rtg: MJ - 103 > Kobe - 105
    OWS/48: MJ - .171 > Kobe - .140
    DWS/48: MJ - .073 > Kobe - .053
    WS/48: MJ - .244 > Kobe - .193

    Playoffs:

    PPG: MJ - 33.4 > Kobe - 25.0
    RPG: MJ - 6.4 > Kobe - 5.1
    APG: MJ - 5.7 > Kobe - 4.7
    SPG: MJ - 2.1 > Kobe - 1.4
    BPG: MJ - 0.9 > Kobe - 0.7

    FG%: MJ - 48.7 > Kobe - 44.7
    FT%: MJ - 82.8 > Kobe - 81.0
    3PT%: MJ - 33.2 > Kobe - 32.9
    eFG%: MJ - 50.3 > Kobe - 47.8
    TS%: MJ - 56.8 > Kobe - 53.9

    PER: MJ - 28.6 > Kobe - 22.0
    O-Rtg: MJ - 118 > Kobe - 109
    D-Rtg: MJ - 104 > Kobe - 106
    OWS/48: MJ - .171 > Kobe - .116
    DWS/48: MJ - .078 > Kobe - .043
    WS/48: MJ - .249 > Kobe - .159

    It's not even debateable.

Silly thing to say. I hate the L*kers, and always hae. Why in the world would I be happy if they won? I would have been happy for any other team.

As a Yankee fan I heted to see the Redsox win as well.

I don't understand how a fan of the Trailblazers can be happy to see the L*kers win to be honest.

Is there seriously a Kobe/MJ debate going on right now? Kobe has 4 rings, MJ has 6. 3 of Kobe's came with one of the top five centers to play the game.

That's the end of it, sorry. Until Kobe wins 3 more.

Why hate on the players? Are they supposed to lose, just to make you happy?

They aren't supposed to lose, but I would certainly like to see them lose rather than win.

The Current era is more athletic imo, combined with Zone. The League almost went bankrupt in the 80's I think? Kobe's already empirically on par with almost anyone, he had 15+ win shares on a 45 win team at his peak, in the West.

If people want to say Jordan is better that's fine, but you're a hypocrite with the Stats. You bring up TS%, but ignore Win Shares or Per when it doesn't suit you. Howard isn't on his level, showed it here against Gasol.

Kobe just won with Pau Gasol, Odom, Ariza, and no bench. I think it is pretty admirable, not just some other title.

The whole MJ thing is tough though, he's got 6 still.

Compared to the Bulls that won 55 games without Jordan. Not compared to the Clippers.

He just wants to make Kobe as much of an MJ equivalent as humanly possible.
