Selfish stats that hurt the team. Yes, he sucks. He'll never be on a champioship-level team.

There were some on BBF that thought the Blazers shouldn't even trade Harris for Jack. Speaking of which, where is that trash talking thread strter? Ignoring your own thread?

Only to un-retract it. This thread is evidence of that.

Dallas fans must be pissed. That's the second PG that they have let go only to watch him become a superstar with his new team. I'd be horrified.

I think KP is affraid to make a significant in-season trade. I think it's his big flaw as a GM.

I was a HUGE fan of that trade proposal. I really wanted to snag Devin Harris somehow.

However, as I recall the price also included our 1st rounder and cash. I assume that was probably the asset KP was reluctant to part with.

Now the price was starting to get pretty steep, but I was still willing to consider, as I thought Harris was the point we needed long term. I thought "overpaying" would not be ideal, but would be ok in this situation as we had assets that were going to expire in value soon, ie, Jack and Channing. Tossing in a couple of those as throw-ins means little if you hang on to them and let them turn to pumpkins anyway.

So, with our 1st rounder added it would have been effectively, Travis, Channing and Bayless for Harris.

Yet, that exact 3-team trade would not have happened. It would have had to have been re-worked as George used his trade clause to kill the first 2-team trade between Dallas and NJ.
