no Bones, not at all...I don't pay attention to most players in college but I did with Sabonis and formed an opinion. I'm not looking for agreement.

I've watched just about every Zags game and that comp doesn't fit Sabas.

He's a more polished Steven Adams, just not as big.

Of course you aren't looking for agreement, because there's absolutely nothing to agree with. You picked two polar opposite style of players who happened to both be pale white guys and said they are similar.

He sounds like the Lithuanian Adam Morrison.

Now I not saying he is going to be even close as good but he compares to Paul Gasol imo.

I think he caps out as first big off the bench for a contending team. He could start on some crappy teams but he actually played really well off the bench last year for Gonzaga and I think he would eat up 2nd units in the NBA and struggle starting.

Whatever he compares to, I think he's almost the highlight of the tournament at this point. It's a real treat to watch him this far into the tournament. And this is coming from a Ducks fan. If I had to make a comparison I'd say Zach Randolph.

Race has nothing to do with my opinions but you keep bringing it up...I explained my view. Another thing....stop exaggerating. I like the kid and think he has potential but I'm not gushing over him or even really interested in bringing him to Portland. I didn't see the Utah game and I understand he really had a good one. Balance is what discussions are all about ..you disagree...great, glad to hear it. Most people agree with you about him, I don't. Deal with it.

Interesting but I think that Adams is way different than Sabonis in his style of game. Sabonis shoots with range, Adams is a dunker. Sabonis more of a finess big and Adams more of a banger

Love everything about Sabonis on the college level, except for one thing. And that one thing is the only reason I want nothing to do with him for the Blazers.

He has one of the shortest wingspans for a guy his size, and his skillset at his position will not compensate for those dinosaur arms. He might be able to score a bit, but he will be a massive negative on defense.

Some folks think Mason Plumlee is just an ok center. Some think Donatas Sabonis is a valuable NBA draft prospect. Here's an eye test for you

Domantas Sabonis will be successful in the NBA because he's relentless. People get hung up on physical stats, reach, etc. and forget the most important factors in rebounding: position, reading the carom, timing of the bump, and desire. He always wants to dominate the boards in a game, and is doing so against bigger players now. No reason to think that won't continue in the NBA as he grows and gets stronger. If you've watched many Zags games you know is is a tough SOB, literally a bulldog. But, the biggest upside for me is that Domantas, at age 10, likely knew things about rebounding and screen-setting that some NBA players haven't learned after 5 years in the league.

Learn the scouting, then post. (hahahaha)

I agree that people get hung up on size too often. Will is very important too. Faried was a little undersized and has done well. Dennis Rodman is likely the best rebounder of all time and was short for his position, but he wanted that damn ball more than anyone on the court. Zach Randolph can't jump over a piece of paper.

    Sabonis will be fine.

BTW it's annoying AF when people only find white players comparisons for white players

Hearing a guy is the next Adam morrison, jj Redick or dirk nowitski and just so happens to be white is lame.

Absurd. Sabonis is more like Pau Gasol than Mason Plumlee.

Poeltl looked like a joke, and he's supposed to be a top 5 pick. I bet he still goes before Sabonis, which is a mistake.

We all know we sacrificed our 1st this year... You dont have to continuously point out all the obvious narratives just as a way to be negative..
