Fuck, I have to listen to wack ass L*ker fans for the whole summer and all next season. weak. sauce. Magic, you fucked my next year up you fucks.
Nah I'll be polite to you Blazer fans like always. You'll get plenty of chances at titles with that Portland core, don't get upset.
Guys, this is a taste of what it will be like when we face LA in the Western Conference Finals. We have to be good enough to dominate, because the refs will not let us win a close game. Or perhaps Kobe can hurry up and get old really fast.
he got manhandled in the paint almost everytime down in the clutch tonight. rediculous how many times they didn't call a foul on the L*kers. they were doing it both ways so it was shit calls on both ends.
It's like a league-wide epidemic. Dwight, Yao and G.O. can't get their teammates to give them the ball.
Yes. Once Greg gets his position, we must give him the ball right away. He'll either score of kick it out. We can't have him picking up 3 second violation because we're ignoring him.
If a team decides they do not want to let a post player get the ball, there isn't much an offensive player can do. Granted, to do that, you're going to give up some 3's and have less help in the middle, but denying the post isn't rocket science. Jamming the ball into the paint when there is 2 or 3 defenders near by (who are some of the top athletes in the world), is a little more difficult than people think. There is a reason it's a lot easier to get Joel the ball on the post than Greg.
Understandable, but how many times have we seen the big guys wide open and not get the ball? Obviously don't force feed it if it's not there, but we've seen countless times that Dwight's been open and G.O.'s been open in the lane and they don't get it. I'm sure these teams watch tape and see it.
There is no doubt, there have been times in every game where a post does a wonderful job of getting position and is not given the ball. I guess having played and now as a coach, I understand how difficult it can be to get the ball in the post. Throw a 6'6" physical defender between you and two 7'0" centers constantly changing position, and you could imagine it's possible for you to get caught with your head down or a little hesitant to make what on TV looks to be an easy pass. To me, it's very similar to officiating. It's really easy for me to see missed calls on TV, but I know from experience, it's a lot harder to see everything clearly when you're on the baseline looking between a bunch of trees.
Lakers overcame the worst finals officiating I have ever seen...Sure the refs might have missed 5 that would have favored ORL but they had about 25-30 calls or noncalls that went ORL's way that were absolute horse shit. I see some of even the most diehard Lakerhaters are saying that....Thats how bad it was. UGH!
I'd love your opinion on my Trevor Ariza thread. Please head over there and tell me if I'm crazy for thinking Ariza is better than Batum.
I don't blame you for wanting to keep him. I just want you to add a little voice of reason to the folks who can't seem to tell a difference between the two. You guys are going to have to go way in the luxury tax or give one of Odom/Ariza. Giving up Odom would seem to be the wise choice if forced to make a decision.
It's true. I was at ESPN Zone in Anaheim and it was really loud there so I couldn't hear a whistle and I always thought the Magic had fouled the Lakers but then the game kept on playing and I was like, huh, go figure. Happened a lot.
dude, I don't know how you can do it and watch with L*ker Nation without getting into a fucking fight. I was at the Salt Creek Grill in El Segundo..pretty upscale spot with plasmas and a projection TV....most of the people weren't even watching the game until the last 2 minutes of the 4th..then "everyone became L*ker fans". This is one of the few spots where I can stand it though...just hate that L*ker trash jumping around screaming Lakerrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. fuck. I might have to knock out with some Ambiens on Sunday night.
