or maybe we could give them Joel as an expiring instead of Miller. Let Miller ride it out here with a 3 guard rotation of Miller, Hill, and Roy. Pg- Miller, Hill SG- Roy, Hill SF- Batum, Cunningham PF- LMA, Pendergraph C- Oden, Camby ?
crap sorry I meant to add RJ in that sorry. but for me its basically Bayless and Rudy. Webster is a throw in. And Joel is an expiring.
Dude wheels, if we are going after Hill, then why not Parker???? Parker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hill and they might wanna blow the team up and restart with Hill
Still too much. And I'll take Bayless over Hill. He's two years younger (has more room to grow), and has much more explosive skills.
this is under the assumption that Parker is still a building block. Sure Parker >>>> Hill... but thats why I didnt even think of talking about him.
He's 21 years old, has a 15+ PER, an uncanny ability to get to the basket, finish, and draw contact. He's disappointing for sure.
We'll see. I'm def a little less excited about Bayless than I was last summer. hopefully I am wrong int hat though.
Less excited? He had a shitty year last year, and has shown vast improvements this year. How can you be more discouraged about him now?
last year I attirbuted to him being a rookie with spotty minutes. He has still improved yes. But I want to see more on his shot. I'm not saying he is dissappointing by any means. I guess I just like Hill more than him.
I never said Miller was "below average." I said he was an average point guard. I'm sticking to that assertion. Get it?
http://www.basketball-reference.com...um=1&p1=bayleje01&y1=2010&p2=hillge01&y2=2010 A side by side comparison of each player reveals a couple of things. Hill is by far the better shooter and defender (47% from the field and 41% from 3 this year) and Bayless is a much better player at getting to the line and scoring in the immediate basket area. Both players certainly have their strengths and weaknesses (Hill doesn't seem like much of a distributor ... sort of like Bayless) But given Hill's length, defensive potential and ability to stretch a defense with his shot, I'd probably give him the nod over Bayless as Brandon's sidekick.
fair enough. Whoever they dont want I will gladly take If Manu goes somewhere else this year. I could see them trading Hill to try and rebuild on the fly, for one more push with TD and TP. Thats why I was thinking that.
Well, then you're wrong. Miller's PER: 17.9 10th this season amongst all guards under 6'4" I'd call that decidedly 'above average'
