I dont see them trading their PG of the future though....

I guess im one of these guys that dont see Hill and Collison as these great PG's. Yea they have great stats in limited number of games (like 30)

I wouldnt trade some of our players for guys that have shown potential, rather have someone with some history.

And im the one that is always up for a trade

He gets nearly as many assists as Hill while playing 12 fewer minutes per game.

I don't think either player is a 'point guard'

I never compared them as PG's, i put Bayless under hill because he strikes out twice in my criteria

    1) Not a PG
    2) Doesnt play well with Roy (cause he cant shoot)

Hill could at least do #2

We're a #8 seed and Miller has never done much in the playoffs. That makes him average.

So I guess that makes Roy pretty average too, right?

Hardly. Isn't this Roy's 4th year in the league?

    And Miller's 11th ... what's your point exactly?

All I have to do to see the impact that Miller has on a team is to look at Philly with him last year and this year without him, not much changed with that roster except the addition of Jrue Holliday and the subtraction of Dre' and they go from a lower seed playoff team to one of the worst in the league, and Miller was one of the main reasons that team was even competitive with the Magic in the first round.

Pop wouldn't give him up, but I would LOVE to have the kid on our team. He is going to be a star if he stays on the Spurs.

I bet we have a better chance at Parker.

My point is that Miller hasn't done squat in the playoffs. Even after being in the league for 11 years. He was good enough to make Philly an average team. Sounds like an average point guard to me.

He's really never had that much talent around him.

Average players have little or no impact on a team with their arrival or departure because they are replaced (generally) with other average players. I know this is hard to grasp, but when a good player plays on a mostly bad team they typically don't enjoy a lot of team success. Miller was good enough to make a bad team average, and when he left they took a hit in the talent department and sunk.

For instance, take away Wade's championship when he was with Shaq and that Heat team is imminently average and hasn't done a damn thing in the playoffs; does that make Wade 'average' (and no, I'm not comparing Miller to Wade, I'm using an extreme example of a good player on a kind of crappy team to illustrate a point) If D-Wade leaves this off-season in free agency for greener pastures, the Heat might be the worst team in the league.
