Grizzlies= 21-18 and rising in the standings. Since dumping Iverson, they've been one of the top teams in the West, winning 20 of their last 30 games.
For DaRizzle and others who need personal affirmation of other poster's views in the form of a link to an article espousing the same view: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...rce=usatoday.com&utm_medium=memphis-grizzlies You can un-bundle your panties now. And this is the guy leading them: Sat, Jan 16 Zach Randolph's 15-point second half vs. the Spurs closed out a 23-point, 15-rebound performance. He has double-doubles in 12 of his past 13 games, and he has 25 double-doubles for the year. He has already set or tied 11 franchise records. "We're just out there having fun," Randolph said. Yahoo! Sports
Here's how their PERs rank. Is Zach better than his replacement? Could he be the best player on our team? PER..player 15 Roy 16 Zach ** Aldridge **didn't make the cut Roy is 15th in the league in PER, Zach is 16th, and Hollinger only shows the top 50, leaving out the scrubs. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holl...nger/statistics?sort=per&pos=all&seasonType=2
Re: OT: Grizzlies will make the playoffs. That still cracks me up. Not an NBA story? LOL!!!! What a meltdown by DaRizz.
I find it amusing that Quick list the 2 Memphis losses as Portlands worst losses of the year. Does Quick even pay attention to the league. I've been watching the Grizzlies all year and they have a good team. Zach is playing as part of the team and doesn't dominate the ball. Marc Gasol is tough and talented. Grizzlies starting lineup looks good. I like the pace at which they play the game. Lionel Hollins coach of the year?
...the Memphis loss on Jan 5 was the gut-wrenching game where the Blazers were on the bad end of a 13-1 run to close a game they lost by 4. There was also the Roy foul at the end...I definitely think this was one of the worst losses of the year. The other loss featured a 31-2 run by Memphis... Those were both really bad losses for the Blazers!
The Oregonian hates Zach and the entire black subculture. They are embarrassed if he does well, after driving him and other Blazers out of town.
That happens at times against good teams. In my opinion, the Golden State loss was the worst and most embarrassing loss of the year. The team led by Roy was pouting and quit playing. I think that is why McMillan removed Dre from the starting lineup.
Grizzlies= hottest team in the West, on a 4 game win streak, and the only team out West to have won 8 of their last 10 games. Honestly, the Grizzlies will probably finish with a 6th seed. Fear them. They are for real.
then that means we miss the playoffs... imagine the grizz and thunder get in yet.... the upcoming contender blazers dont. how sad and humilating. guys like hcp will blame injuries and others will look for excuses but the real truth at the end of the season will be.... roy and la weren't good enough to carry this team yet people expect to win a title. lol... explain that!
Hmmm....last I checked, the Blazers were still one of the better teams in the west. Meanwhile, you've been singing the same sad tune for well over a month.
Agreed that it happens...they were just really disheartening losses. Of course there are some of those games in every season for every team... If I'm remembering the GS game correctly that was the last of the 3 guard starting line-up, right? That was also a really crappy loss...
So even if this is true, it still stands that only one team gets to win it all every year, so the odds are stacked against them anyway as far as winning a championship goes. Hell, how many championships do Chris Bosh, Dirk Nowitski, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Lebron James and Steve Nash have? It's not always just about individual talent of your top two players, it takes a lot of luck, good health, and the right mix of supporting cast.
At the risk of going where I shouldn't, what about the Entire Black Subculture (TM) is the Oregonian supposed to be hating? Illegally shooting guns? Assaulting teammates? Dogfighting? Drug use/abuse? Rape? Complicity to rape? I don't see those as part of the "Entire Black Subculture" (TM). And if they are, they deserve to be called out. I don't see them hating on Travis fishing on his pond in the summer, or Roy playing rap music for his pregame choices. I don't read Quick hating on the diets of individual players. Those would be "cultural" issues. They talked with reverence of Roy "resting his body" this summer and LMA deserving his big contract instead of getting better working out with Team USA when they could have "hated" on their laziness to just "get theirs". Yes, they call out disgusting criminal behavior by public figures in their community. I'm fine with that.
Grizzlies are 24-19 and currently sit in 8th place in the West. Told you, motherfuckers! In fact, they're tied with us in the loss column and are winning the season series. Fuck!
