There will necessarily be fewer threads. If half of them are Blazers- and NBA-related OT's that have been started by one poster (and which generate replies) then there will be half of the topics on the board. More is not always better, obviously, but this board crowdsources pretty well, and the threads that are available on the first page tend to be the ones that people want to talk about. Ed O.
For a long time I just didn't respond, but obviously that didn't work. Especially when there's multiple new threads per day. I don't mind a lot of basketball threads if they are actually relevant (and yeah you won't get topics that 100% fit everyone, I'm not saying that). It just gets old seeing the same garbage, which for some reason has gotten worse over the last season and even month.
Don't get me wrong; I don't think it's bad to ask how to ignore threads. I just don't think it's fair to attack KS over talking basketball. Ed O.
