Telfair, 32, and another man, Jami Thomas, 18, were found with four loaded weapons, ammunition and a bullet-resistant vest, police said. Two bags of marijuana were also allegedly found in the 2017 Ford F-150 pickup. Link
Telfair, a Brooklyn native, was a standout high school player at Abraham Lincoln High School and bypassed college to become a first-round draft pick in 2004. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers and many other teams before finishing his career in China in 2014. http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/loca...rested-Guns-Marijuana-NYPD-nba-427809793.html
I knew weed as soon as I read the thread title (Strangely the weed is not in the photograph) but thats a lot of heat, plus a vest, and yes @ripcityboy they are illegal.
I still say, he was the right draft pick. If it was the 2nd round and the only other player available was a child molester.
This is really being overblown. Headline sounds like he's an arms dealer. I take more than what he had on a single trip to the outdoor range. The only charges to this point is the bullet proof vest and a high capacity magazine, which is likely legal in most free states. OMG, he had a "gas powered sub machine gun" translated means he had an AR pistol. Also legal in most free states. If he was white in Idaho this would be a traffic ticket for the pot. Fake News is right.
Arms dealers presumably have some kind of license and a responsible arms dealer would not mix guns and pot.
He was in Toronto for like five seconds FFS. Like showing Chauncey Billups in a Raptors jersey. TBQH I had no idea Telfair bounced around so much. Nine teams in ten years is crazy.
They do. It is called a Federal Firearms License, issued by the BATFE. No reputable gun dealer I've ever met would mix pot sales with guns. This guy wasn't a gun dealer though. He's just a poser and a clown.
