And he's a hypocrite. Complains about lack of talent in the past and the extreme roster turnover now? Dude doesn't have a fuckin clue.
I'm one of the few I guess who don't want Love. I think he's a self-centered stat-padding no-D loser, and a whiney jerk. I've said for two years he'll end up on the Lakers. I still think that.
Trade our pick and Hickson for him and use that money in a lopsided deal.....(can we trade Hickson at the draft?)
He and his tool of a father tried to get the Lake Oswego coach fired because they didn't like his offense - IN HIGH SCHOOL.
Jesse (Detroit) Should Minny trade Love now? He's been dropping hints for years that he isn't happy there. Chad Ford (1:28 PM) He is unhappy there. Has been for several years. Once he signed only a 3 year extension, the writing was on the wall. But I can't fathom the team trading him right now. David Kahn really, really wants to make the playoffs this year. They don't come close without Love.
Even though Portland is "home" for Love I really doubt that he wants to spend the rest of his career here. IIRC he grew up a Lakers fan.
The week after he was drafted the Oregonian interviewed Love and said he'd love to play for the Blazers one day. Quite the thing to say while wearing a Wolves jersey.
It's not that big of a deal to say while a member of the Wolves - Kahn actually knew this ahead of the draft, and it's his leading reason for drafting Love. Kahn was sitting there, in the days leading up to the draft, plotting and pondering how to acquire all things Portland. He then realized his biggest move would be to draft a Blazer BEFORE he becomes a Blazer - the kid from the Portland metro area. Upon realizing this move, Kahn, alone in his office, utters three words: "Check and mate."
