The problem with Lamarcus is not physical talent. The problem is his motor. He doesn't get thrown out of the way for rebounds. He just never goes after it in the first place. Lamarcus has all the tools. He just never puts them to use. If you look at his numbers over the years the thing that jumps out at me is the fact his game has never improved, only his minutes have. The other thing being, many of his defensive number have actually decreased. Defense is mostly effort. That effort is decreasing over time. What Lamarcus is, is a guy who can be a #3 scorer on a good team. He isn't good enough to handle a double team. But he is good when he gets a 1 on 1 look or an open shot. That isn't a #2 scorer on your team. That is a #3 guy. A role player.

Very few guys who average 18 ppg are third options on a team. Particularly when your team is last in the league in pace.

I'm sorry, you must be mistaken. FIBA is small-ball.

    He's not very good.

What am I saying? He has the best PER on the team! The real answer is that he's being saved for the REALLY important games. In fact, they held him out so that they could clone him and play five Kevin Loves at once.

That doesn't really make sense, since my post was asking for who things Aldridge is a good defender. Maybe you just can't get over the word fuck?

who thinks Aldridge is a good defender? Mmmmm... lots of posters/Blazer fans? Need me to dig up some quotes from NBA coaches? Hard to keep up with this sort of brilliance.

I think LA guards players like Dirk and Tim Duncan as well as anybody in the league. He does have trouble with bangers like Boozer, but you can't stop everybody.

I really enjoy the team USA BBall, I don't understand why more people aren't into it. Maybe its just the timing, college football and NFL are starting. If it was during a long all-star break maybe it would be popular.

This could be the first USA team since '94 to win it. The roster is full of hard working good guys who want the team to win, there aren't a bunch of selfish punks like Marbury or Iverson.

Are you serious? I was asking people on this board in this thread for their opinions on his defense. What were you asking for? Oh, my bad, you were just trying to be a smart ass and you failed.

For me, I'm not as interested because of the amount of stars for foreign teams that aren't playing. It would be different if France has Parker, Pietrus and Turiaf. If Germany had Nowitski. If Argentina had Ginobili and Nocioni. Spain had Pau and so on.

But they don't, so the level of competition the U.S. is playing is weak.

That and the games start at 8 in the morning sometimes.
