Actually I thought he was going to be a collosal bust coming out of UCLA. I figured he'd be too slow, too ground bound and frankly too "white" to be an effective power forward. But thanks for sharing.

He's been double-teamed almost every time he's touched the ball on offense in the first two games. That actually brings a lot to the court, mainly Roy, Batum, and Rudy getting open looks from 3.

He wasn't doubled much last night and played with a clear size advantage, despite not being able to take advantage of it.

LMA had 10 rebounds last night. The Blazers destroyed the Clippers' bigs on the offensive boards. LMA also ran up court on a lot of fast breaks, which is great for a big man.

I really like Love, but many are clamoring for Love over LMA while at the same time saying we don't run enough. It seems like we need to pick one or the other.

Love is the best outlet passing big men in a long time. Its been one of his trademarks for a while now, Minnesota doesn't utilize this.

He's even worked with Wes Unseld on this aspect of his game, probably the best outlet passing big of all-time.

I would... like... to get Love, but it all depends on what it would cost. I would like to get a guy who can play f/c and I think Love would be awesome for that role.

Yes. Exactly. Give him big money and 30 minutes a night in that role.

And I realize that Camby can technically play both positions, but Love has a better overall offensive game by far, and he's a million times younger. Having Camby and Love would actually be a pretty great combo I think.

You know that the moment he is coming here he is starting to bitch about his playing time and tells everyone that he wants to go back to spain. You just know that, don't you?

Technically, how can Love play center? Dude is 6'8 with a wingspan that hardly makes up for it. His low post efforts have pushed his offensive game onto the perimeter and his D is much worse then Camby's offense... PER is mostly an offensive measure. On top of that Camby's D >>> Love's O
true that on both, but I wouldn't try having Love guard 5s in that scenario. I actually like Love as a player and would be open to adding him, but price and situation would factor. I wouldn't want to give him a starting PF's portion of my team's precious capspace (like 8M per) unless they were well over and I wouldn't want to depend on him as a regular at the 5 unless the rest of my team is filled with defenders/shotblockers who can cover his weakness.

I thought the money quote was that Rambis benched Love because of Tolliver's defense.

Now, either Tolliver's made the biggest one-year turnaround in NBA history, or Rambis needs to get his coke bottles back. Remember last year, when we could've really used a sweet-shooting big man who could be a warm body guarding the paint? And A-Toll made it about 4 minutes total before getting waived, b/c he couldn't remember how to play D?

I remember that game. Beasley absolutely thrashed Tolliver.
