They all have certain things that they do well. Call it "situational competence". That's going to be the key for Maimi--find players that do one or two things particularly well, even if they don't do a whole lot else.
Just read an article that had a very interesting quote... "We'll see if that Loyalty tattoo means anything to [LeBron]"
Let's not forget about De'Sean Butler, Jarvis Varnardo, and Dexter Pittman. Three very intelligent pick-ups in the second round that I feel can be contributes, particularly Butler backing up the 2/3 for 15-20 minutes and Varnardo for 8-10 minutes behind Bosh.
If Lebron said that shit about bad knees and no titles that says to me that he doesn't believe he can deliver a title by himself. Dude is suppose to be the King and he says stuff like that.
Apparently a lot of LeBron's closest friends, including Chris Paul, and family are not happy he's bailing on Cleveland before giving Byron Scott a chance. This is going to be an interesting time for LeBron before he makes his decision final. I've still got a feeling he's going to go to Cleveland for a couple of years and give them one last shot before going out there and moving on. I wonder how many times he has talked to the Nets, Knicks, Bulls, and Cavs since this leak came out, as well. I'm sure they're all pitching last minute deals.
You don't know Cleveland. If he does go to Miami, this will devastate them. This is their boy. They raised him.
I was thinking that same thing. I can't think of one superstar that was able to take a team full of scrubs and win a championship.
Bullshit. James is from Akron, not Cleveland It's like the distance between Salem to Portland. I will say this though. If James chooses anywhere besides Cleveland, he is even a bigger asshole for doing it on National tv.
Scrubs isn't the right word, but what about Walton's Blazers? Solid players on the team, but Walton delivered that title
Do you see the Celts back in the ECF? I'm not so sure. One year older, and I don't know how much longer Garnett, Allen, and Pierce are going to be able to carry that team. Rondo is a star though.
Well, starting lineup is back (well Perk injured for first half but he'll be ok for playoffs), Doc is back, maybe Frank as assistant, and hopefully we get some good bench players. What killed us last year was not having a backup for Perk, Sheed did ok for playoffs but you could see it last 4 or 5 minutes of game 7 in the finals. (LA's length beat us) So yeah I really believe we can make it again to the top, especially if Wade-Bosh-LeBron are in Miami, all we have to do is beat them and Orlando, everyone else is weak in the East.
We'll wait and see what he does. Personally, I think he should sign a three year deal with CLE and try to win there. If he can't, he'll still be 28 and can go elsewhere. This bullshit drama act makes me dislike him as much as K*be.
This sucks if true. It's not just that Miami will be so incredibly awesome. It's also that there will be fewer competitive teams in the East to watch. If LeBron went to New York or Chicago, you could see a new great rivalry emerging. Now the only drama is wondering if the Heat can break the 72 win record.
They'll get close to it this season I'm sure and wouldn't be surprised to see it happen in 2 or 3 years.
