Think the fans hate the Lakers more than the player do :ghoti:

the thing is that they're from seattle, which has some of the worst sports fans ever (other than in LA). they are total bandwagon dweebs, and there are a lot of L*ker fans or LeBron Heat fans, etc. whatever.

Who gives a shit? Martell has been working out with Kobe for years. I was happy he was working out with Kobe. Hoping against hope that some Kobe would rub off on him. Now? I truly couldn't give a shit. Martell doesn't play for Portland anymore, you know that, right?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Why would the players hate the Lakers? Player-based rivalry is almost non-existent in pro sports. It's more common in college sports, but that's because it's clear you'll (almost) always be part of one team your entire college career. Plus college has been built up as a part of identity, far more than the company one works for.

Team-based rooting and "hate" has always been a fan thing. Kobe's a "fan" of the Lakers insofar as that's the team he's on and he wants to win. If he were a Celtic tomorrow, he'd want the Celtics to win.

I'm not surprised Webster is a big fan of Kobe. I'm sure lots of players are. Kobe is a fantastic player and great fun to watch.

I realize you consider yourself a clever troll, but your attempts to anger are pretty silly. ;)

Most of the Lakers hate is because of THEIR fans, who are the biggest jackasses in all of sports.

I mostly agree with you, though I certainly wouldn't label ALL their fans that way. But I would say the Lakers and Yankees fanbases are two of the most obnoxious in this generation. I don't actually dislike the players on the Lakers or the Yankees, but I tend to root against them due to the fans. :)

So was Webster asking K*be about his role in the triangle, or Artest's? :)

One thing I'll say for K*be, I don't think I've ever heard that he's turned down a player asking to work out with him or get some tips from him.
