I thought he was born in the U.S. Edit: No, he came here at age 3. He knows English as well as someone born here.
Funny you should mention that. He moved from Burma to the U.S. at about age 2 1/2. I moved from the U.S. to Japan at age 1 1/2. When I left shortly before turning 4 I had a Japanese vocabulary of about 50 words, as well as a normal English vocabulary. Despite being immersed among English speakers, I was well on my way to picking up the 2nd language from the bits and pieces I heard.
He moved to the states when he was 2 and 1/2 yrs old. He's 45 yrs old. If he ain't got it down yet he never will.
