Meh, that's quite an unnecessary leap. I'm sure Meyers is far from the first NBA player to use an anti-semetic term. We all know how rampant homophobia has been.

He’s like 16 emotionally. Have you seen his videos?

I’m 44 and haven’t heard that word in decades. I’m the type that doesn’t immediately get out the torches and pitchforks without knowing all the details, though. There are many things on my rage concern radar, and this isn’t one of them.

All this is missing here is a Hitler reference and it’s Godwin’s Law at warp “speed.”

Downplaying that word, by a 30 year old man, who has a huge following because of his job and video game streaming, is weak. Totally unacceptable

I’d just like to know all the details without pumping up the outrage machine to 11.

You do you, though. Totally unacceptable IMO.

    What details are you missing?

He was playing a video game. Someone killed him in the video game. He yelled out a racial slur.

It's about as cut and dry as you can get.

He's not. But he was one of only two players to refuse to take a knee for BLM.
If the most important step is missing then maybe I wasn't jumping to that conclusion.

Did you really think it needed to be linked again?

Funny. Back in the day he'd be in trouble for saying the F-word. Actually, I think it is still against the law to "broadcast" profanity, and I don't see how streaming isn't broadcasting.

I haven't heard the word in decades.

He’s already being punished for it. End of story.

The league has spent the past year immortalizing a player (Kobe) who used a homophobic slur against a referee in a nationally televised game, so spare me the overreaction now.

Thats not even going to be a blip on the radar compared to what's coming next. The story isn't close to over. Why do you want this to be the end of his punishment?

You think that's worse than his sexual assault?

Kobe was the league's cash cow...Meyers isn't.....plenty of people disliked Kobe for that and rape, etc....the league let Michael Jordan scream at refs all the time and he didn't get Ts or foul out most of the time....too much money...he's staying in the game....Shaq used to step on people before he dunked and get the +1....he makes them alot of money....jerseys and shoe sales rule the league

Oh please. Kobe called a ref a homophonic slur on live TV and nobody cared. Two players earlier this season were bashing Jewish people to the point of saying they don’t matter.

Meyer’s is a big goofy white guy who chose to stand to honor his brother and those KIA during the anthem so that makes him a target for the White Guilt Woke Mob. It’s a word. People are such babies these days.

Sounds like systemic racism to me.
