I remember the day the Blazers were giving some great seats away and I could sell my tickets for half of what I paid for them . . . sometimes I couldn't even give them away.

No, because he's good at basketball. Why would we care about how well he fills seats? The Blazers will fill seats due to being good.

So you're saying the (0-7) Nets are good, and it's because of Harris? :dunno:

No. I didn't say anything like that. Try again? :dunno:

Reminds me of when Buck Williams returned to play NJ after the trade and they had the $1 tickets ("1 buck for Buck" or whatever) promotion and still only half filled the arena.

It rhymes with Mets, Jets, and Sets. That's reason enough to keep it.
Of course, it also rhymes with debts.

I thought I was the only one who remembered that from the Big Book of Sports Trivia!?!

EDIT: Unless you're just a closet fan of the National Team Tennis Tour, in which case I apologize.

I don't think I know it from the BB of ST, since I've never read that, but I did read about the existence of the Sets somewhere many years ago and have retained that useless bit of data.

the nets are a team that could potentially be looking at a huge turnaround next year. they'll have one of the top picks in a draft that at this point looks pretty good and should have enough cap space to bring in a max contract guy. they could be looking at adding joe johnson or chris bosh along with a top 5 guy in the draft(greg monroe/ed davis/derrick favors if they are targeting perimeter free agents or evan turner/willie warren if they want to go after a post guy).

if they make a big slash like it looks like should be a possibility, i doubt they have too much trouble getting people to buy tickets. the only thing i'd be worried about is if the lebron hype completely overshadows what moves they do make(because i think it's unlikely they get him).

What is it with you and the point guard position? Are you Bob Cousy?
