Yeah, we'll deal with it though. I still believe. I like anything that brings the Lakers pain. If the Rockets win a title, that means Dwight Howard, who all laker fans hate, does and that will rub salt in their eyes. McHale is a terrible coach and they won't do shit while he's at the helm. It also means Jeremy Lin is starting in the All Star Game and it'll be fucking embarrassing for the NBA so they'll have to change their rules eventually on fan voting.
This is great. They're going after Durant I guess, but he's not a FA until after Kobe's contract is over. If they DO get Durant, it fucks over OKC and Clay Bennett. If they don't get Durant, you're looking at a 5-7 year period of the Lakers being absolutely terrible. Fucking love it.
lakers are gonna suck for both years of kobes hilarious contract good thing he didnt give a shit about winning when he signed that extension, kinda weird though, if he had taken 10 million they could have signed two max guys, maybe would have got melo and bosh now they have lin
That was my first thought as well. I laughed and then realized that Lin will get the massive fan vote and get into the game next year. Pretty much means Lillard won't get into the AS game again for awhile.
i really think kobe wants the lakers to be horrible so he can put up 35 shots a game and make a run at kareem
Kobe has to get on the court still... He hasn't been a healthy guy Side note, I love how Kobe's career is ending so far, so fitting.
I think I can rationalize the Bosh to HOU thing. In: -Bosh -- max -heavily protected NO pick Out: - Asik - Lin - T. Jones - Montejunas - 2015 draft pick And now they also have to pay Parsons a max. This team will have 0 cap flexibility for the next 4 years, and if they don't win or one of them gets injured, they're totally fucked.
I remember when people were saying the same thing about Miami and attracting people to play around the big 3, to rationalize it. Not that any of these guys is Lebron. But if their owner is willing to go big into LT, which it would seem like he is, then they can fill a solid roster aorund that still.
One can rationalize away anything. I think the reality is that Houston has put together a tremendous collection of talent on paper and the players even synergize well together (Bosh is probably the best compliment to a low-post big like Howard and a slasher/play-maker in Harden). I think the only way they're not an elite team is a major injury bug or awful coaching (which is possible).
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 1m Miami is fighting to keep Chris Bosh, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. He will decide between Heat and Rockets today. Please go back to Miami!
Lin could literally be their best player next year with Kobe being washed up and always injured and Randle possibly a bust, lol.
