Pau Gasol and the Chicago Bulls are working toward completing an agreement. Gasol had narrowed his choices to the Bulls and San Antonio Spurs. If Gasol agrees to a deal with the Bulls, they would essentially be taken out of consideration for Carmelo Anthony. Carlos Boozer is expected to be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign-and-trade for Gasol.
Pau in Chicago is interesting. However his health has been a concern and his pricetag sounds high for them. Still, if Rose comes back healthy they are a contender in the East for sure.
