Stiffs? You think CJ is a stiff? You think Robinson is a stiff? Go right ahead and bring in Amare

Freeland is better at being a backup PF in our system (or any system) than Leonard, when you're giving up TRob.

CJ is the gamble of the deal for the Bulls. He'd be a really short SG, and isn't known for PG skills. He has to be a real superstar for the Bulls to win this deal.

TRob has been traded how many times now? I have near zero hope he'd replace Noah eventually. The gamble us he shows why he was worthy of the #5 pick.

Freeland is 26, sporting a PER barely over 10. Nice role player for you, not young with potential like you trade an all star for and rebuild around.

No, CJ, TRob, and Leonard don't have "enormous potential."

Why do you keep comparing Noah to Dale Davis?

It's a gamble, but it's one that you have to be willing to take if you're hoping for a Championship. Adding Noah would put us in WCF conversations, and depending on how everything shakes out possibly the Finals.
Given what we've seen from Leonard there shouldn't be any cause for concern there. Yeah, he might someday develop into an NBA player - but by the time that happens this current team will no longer exist. Unless you think he's going to develop into one of the best Cs in the league, waiting around for him doesn't make any sense because by the time he develops we might stink.
As for CJ - given his size there's no way he can start next to Lillard. If paired with a PG like Rondo, sure. But for us he's a 6th man at best. Also, CJ would be the main reason CHI makes the trade. Can't get Noah without giving up CJ.
I'd trade both of these guys in a heartbeat if we got Noah in return. Now Denny asking for Robinson is what gives me pause - and those draft picks. I really like Robinson's potential, and understand that that's what CHI would want for their rebuild. But I just don't know that I'm willing to give up on Robinson for someone with Noah's injury history. Noah's great in a Ben Wallace sort of way - does all the little things - but really only adds defense to our team. So the price of CJ/Robinson/Leonard/picks is too steep, IMO.

Well, to be fair Dale Davis was 31 and Noah is only 28. We'd be getting Noah in his prime, whereas Davis was already in decline. And Dale had played most of his career up to that point at PF, whereas Noah is a legit C.

I like what I've seen in Robinson, but Aldridge's window is right now. This kind of deal opens a championship window for the Blazers without giving anybody away we currently need. I'd be on board for that.

If there was a Shaq-like center out there standing in our way, I'd be less enthusiastic. I remember how badly Oden abused Noah when they went head-to-head. But without that kind of threat, I think you pull the trigger on that.

Am I overrating Noah, or do you guys just not watch him play? He's Tyson Chandler but with passing skills and a shooting touch. And he's the same age as Aldridge. They would complement each other perfectly.

Freeland or Leonard . . . either one.

How much more to throw Deng into the mix? :)

I didn't notice the picks. I'd probably draw the line there.

Best case scenario for Leonard/Robinson/CJ is probably something like LaFrentz/McDyess/Jason Terry. It's a little bit of an unfair upside because the first two guys had injury-shortened careers, but you get the idea. Anyway, the odds are (at best) on or two of those guys realizes that upside. I'd trade that for a chance at multiple Finals appearances.

Noah grabs 4.5 offensive boards per 36, and his teammates benefit with even more because he has to be boxed out or else. He also dished 4 assist per game last year. He will pair with LMA very well.

Unless we get an All Star, I don't want to trade CJ. We don't know how good he is.

No. We already ARE winning now. 12-2!

I agree with U, I think Olshey is looking for a needle moving trade, IMO adding Noah and keeping Lopez moves the needle. Noah's age fits LMA perfectly

Dude, Noah is an all star. He scored 8 points and grabbed 10 boards in the all star game last year.

Thats what I'm asking? The Bulls would either be asking for Batum or Aldridge back in the deal. I seem to recall there was a rumor last season that had LA wanting to join the bulls and the talks centered around LA for Noah.

Oh, I don't know, because Dale Davis was fresh off an All-Star season for a playoff team? He wasn't flashy, but he was a work-man type big man, which is exactly what Noah is. Obviously Noah is younger and a better overall player, but the trade is the same. You're dealing three young, promising players for a guy who might put us over the top.

I'm right there with you, dude. He's averaging 4 assists/game, which is phenomenal out of your center.

Just imagine a typical offensive possession--Lillard drives, kicks out to Batum, throws it into Aldridge, Aldridge misses his jumper, Noah rebounds and throws it to Wes in the corner for the wide open 3, which he kills. Shit man, I just gave myself a hardon.

Great defense and even more great passing is exactly what we need from the center position. He was made to play next to LMA.

smh. Younger and better player = same?

Noah is in his prime. He's an elite defender with DRTG of 98 over the last 4 seasons (one w/o Thibs too). The guy AVERAGED 4 assists per game. You compare him to Dale Davis whose career high was 1.5/g. Come on, man.
