Agreed, you see guys reach in like that often. And, occasionally, you see a guy fake the timeout and score, which is why it's smart to play through the whistle on it.

Jason Kidd did that to us a few years back... walked it right to the hoop for an easy two.

Didn't Andre Miller do it a few times as well? I think one led to a victory for us late in the game.

At halftime Charles thought it was dirty. No one else did. Kenny even said he had faked defenders a few times I think.

    Yeah, Miller did.
I didn't see it, but heard the announcers talking about it later of Damian doing it this year also, I think

The play wasn't dirty, he went for the ball as the whistle was being blown. He didn't lunge after it they were happening at the same time. If anyone is to blame its westbrook as much as its beverlys. Beverly tries to make a momentum play and catch Westbrook off guard, when Westbrook realizes what is happening instead of just stopping and holding the ball for the timeout he tries to do a fancy spin move.

No, it hadn't, watch the ref. He doesn't blow the whistle until after he (Beverly) has already committed to the lunge...

You can see Westbrook point at the ref and ask for a TO prior to Beverley fouling him. Durant was already walking to the bench.

Bush league, and a silly way to injure an opponent. I do like Beverley's aggressiveness, though.

Plus, if you remember a few minutes before this play, Beverley had knocked Westbrook to the ground with a hard foul, and when he went over to help Westbrook up, Westbrook slapped his hand away.

Excuse me for never having sympathy for another teams injury woo's ever again. Worst part about it though is that Miami will have another cake walk to the championship thanks to an injury on their biggest competition's star player. Some teams have all the luck, at least this year the Lakers are not one of them.

What was Durant's response last year when it was pointed out that the refs blew a game ending call against us? I can't remember his exact words, but I wish I did so I could repeat them right now.

I don't see at all how it's a dirty play. If he doesn't make contact with him, is it still dirty?

Absolutely. Standard practice to go for the ball when the guy is going for the timeout.
