    BTW, when Childress bolted Atlanta, did he renege (sp?) on any portion of his contract, as well?

    No. The Hawks owned his NBA rights, but did not have him under contract, so he was free to play outside the NBA.

    RFA rights don't expire as long as the team makes the qualifying offer and the player doesn't accrue enough NBA years to reach UFA. He's been counting as a caphold for them all this time.

    Nope. He wasn't under contract. He turned down the QO and went to Greece.
