It's weird, I have never seen so many TV shows that people talk about..West Wing, Friends, Seinfeld, Lost, all those shows....I watch some on Netflix now....saw Breaking Bad, Weeds, Shameless, House of Cards, Vikings, Peaky Blinders, Mad Men a few more....most I've started I couldn't keep watching recently. Luke Cage was pretty good...great music
I think it's dog awful. I've had to watch it in segments because it's not holding my interest at all. I'm hoping season 2 will be back to being okay.
The OA was good. The last 100 is interesting but clearly marketed towards a younger generation. 3% has some interesting philosophical situations. It's Brazilian, so it's weird watching it English dubbed without the mouths syncing up.
Favorite show (after the Wire) of the last decade. I was sick one day and decided to watch it. And I watched every damned episode. Just me, but I think you had to be a suburban kid who grew up in the 80's to really get that show. It had that Steven Spielberg/John Carpenter/Stephen King vibe about it. If your childhood included Dungeon and Dragons roleplay, late night sleepovers of watching "The Thing" and reading "IT" when it was first published, that show really brings that unique time back. It really was a wonderful time to be a kid.
Just finished West World. Loved that show, was completely blown away by it. I didn't think a show could top Stranger Things but I firmly believe West World did.
I only watch Vikings, Game of Thrones and Curse of Oak Island. I've watched a few "Hunting Hitler" episodes too, that's a very interesting show.
Angel is such a great character. And that theme tune is all-time. But having lived in LA I can't fucking believe he lives in a TRAILER in MALIBU.
This is up there with: "I'm just sitting down to watch the election results - I wonder how much Hillary will win by?"
I'm enjoying Search Party. I never thought Alia Shawcat was that great (she was overshadowed by Michael Cera I guess) but she's awesome in this. Good in Green Room though, although that's a hard watch just for the content, let alone knowing that the main actor died so stupidly and that it would be awfully prescient about the state of the country.
Also enjoying People of Earth. Not really laugh out loud funny but it keeps me coming back, which most shows don't.
Yes, I am thanking you later! Started watching based on your recommendation, half way in, can't turn it off. This is what the wife and I are apparently doing for New Years Eve! Great show.
Eleven IS the best, followed closely by the kid with the funky palate and the Sheriff. Wynona is still hot too.
Here's a show I hadn't heard of (although I would've if I still lived in Blighty): Crazyhead. iZombie is comfort-food TV in our house and this filled that gap nicely. Think of it as like a swearier British Buffy, with correspondingly less-hot people. But being British, the entire season is just 6 episodes, and who knows if they'll make another. But if you've got Netflix, it's on there.
