Sure, but we're not getting those guys with this "cap flexibility", are we?

we're going to get an Andre Miller or something....something we could have likely traded Zach for 2 years ago for.

I'm happy with the way things turned out, just as I was happy the night he was traded. ;)

I'm happy where the team is now, but Frye and the imaginary cap space (Rudy could have been done separately, still contend that) was worthless to us.

I'd have traded Zach for a bag of crap, and getting Rudy in the deal was a big bonus.

Rudy was a deal for cash. We bought Sergio for cash from a suns team that liked having PA's $$$$.

For Frye and Cap space...it was a shit trade. People said Frye would surprise us. He has........

Yeah, the Blazers have really struggled since dumping STAT-BO, and STAT-BO's teams have been tearing up the league.

Zach would've stunted LaMarcus' growth big time. I'm glad we found a sucker to take his big fat contract.

He was dealt to the knicks, who never had a PG and then to the Clippers...what did you expect?

Actually we were the suckers who took back Steve Francis' contract and Channing Frye.

I expected those teams to lose, because that is what teams where Zach plays do.

Yeah, as I said, the results so not favor your point of view. You wanted Pritchard fired the night he traded Zach. That says it all to me. How many Clipper games do you go to in order to support Zach?

The team saved more than $30 million to become free-agency players or have the ability to take back more salary in a trade this summer. We got a ton of flexibility, which far outweighs what Zach's presence on the team would've given us.
Zach would've pouted big time if he had to take the back seat to LaMarcus. And LA wouldn't be as good as he is now if Zach were here.
We still haven't seen the complete benefits of the trade yet.

    They are 16-50. Who cares?

Why don't you offer a detailed summary of why keeping him would have helped the Blazers. I have to wonder, because the one thing that Zach has proven is that he is one of the worst primary scorers in terms of helping his team win games that I've seen in the NBA.

Because he can score and rebound. would have been nice in the 2nd unit versus what we currently have at that position (frye and the ghost of steve francis)

Meh. Getting his loser ass out of the locker room instantly made the deal a winner IMO.

Perhaps. But now our backup PF situation sucks.
