You can't use the excuse that you're working because it's the offseason....get your shit together!

Zach played PF the majority of his rookie season.

    A few caveats:
    • Next season we are playing him at Center.
    • He's was born of two white American parents.
    • He was born in Las Vegas, NV, a city in America.
He now fully meets the necessary criteria to receive the brunt of @Mediocre Man's hate for WABC. :dunno:

I mean, we should've been known this was coming once NO showed Ed the door.

It sucks that Ed was shown the door. :( why’d yeah have to go and bring that up....

To BNM’s point - I wasn’t a fan of Zach’s selection I know many were. I loved Zach’s defense though, he paired with Ed very well on that end of court. If (and I have some hesitation here) his offensive game comes around he’s going to be a very good NBA player maybe not an all-star but one of those would start for most teams that don’t have an all star type player. He’s got the BBIQ, he looks natural on the basketball, has good footwork, and even his shoot looked good mechanics wise.
I cheer for the Blazers and their players, I’d rather be wrong when I said they should’ve drafted Mitchell, than right. I’ll be pulling for Zach this year and as long as he’s Blazers.

There are a few on here who definitely seem more interested in being right than the Blazers out performing expectations.

Well, I haven't been checking the board...Hmm, this looks good. I've always wanted to learn more about Zhou Qui.

I read this whole educational thread! I never knew all those things about Zhou Qui. He is now my favorite player! My thanks and kisses go out to all the experts on this board.

And you positive guys keep on criticizing the negative guys and showing us how to be positive!

I think the correct way to answer that is no?

We have other bigs. Collins is not a 5, so why play him there?

We are going on assumptions, educated, but assumptions

Stotts was interviewed at Summer League and indicated Zach would play at the 5 and the 4. Seemed to have a bit more emphasis on the 5. Sounded like any of our hopes that he might start Zach next to Nurk would not happen. Seemed set on bringing him in for a three man rotation with Nurk and Aminu.
