Precisely, Nike has a vested interest in getting Zion 100% healthly and back on the court for as long as possible before the next major injury. Hopefully they can get him right.
Does Portland have good rehab? Like I said, given the history of Blazer leg/foot injuries, why would he choose Portland to rehab? I'd think a place like LA would be better where they have more world renowned staff or get PRP treatment or some shit. Maybe he's feeling it out to see if he could live here
"Sources say the Pelicans arranged for transportation out of New Orleans for Williamson." Weight gain might be an issue when you require freight shipping.
Nike has a facility here supposedly... I doubt we want a big guy (no matter how short) whose frame can't hold up under his weight. That might not be the best thing for our team but who knows.
I get that maybe Zion should reach out, since he is already established on the team. But it's weird to me that he said he spoke to people close to him, or in his circle or something. Like, certainly the team has Zion's number, and CJ could reach out to him, no?
I think it's only customary and polite for players of the new team to reach out to a recent signee. Zion apparently has better things to do.
CJ is prolly talking about Trajan Langdon, their GM and Zion confidant. He said it during one of his introductory PCs.
