I said you sound ignorant. As you'd say, connect matters. You're sitting here arguing with me over a player I've watched for 3 years bevause you've watched him in a few games, that call me a Gonzaga "fanboy", when you know I so a good job avoiding bias based on what I say on here. Also, when did I insult your basketball IQ?
As a bipartisan observer, it kind of seemed like the tone of the posts came across more condescending and aggressive than maybe you meant them to be (it can be really hard to convey emotions via text), and I think @dviss1 probably read into them that you were questioning if he was qualified to speak on the subject. Then it did kind of spiral for a bit. I kind of think you both know that the other guy is a good basketball mind and you respect each other. Anyways you two are adults and don't need my help. For the record I think you maybe over value Gonzaga guys more than I do, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're wrong or I'm right, you do like Gonzaga, nothing wrong with that. -I'm not saying your a "fanboy" and over value them just because they're zags.
Well thats kinda petty, since this started by you shit-talking Gonzaga as they wouldn't have a chance, arguing with me on a player I've watched 10 times as much of (which meets your definition of ignorant as you've outlined recently), and then said they'll never play each other (ignorant), and started drooling over Duke over their top-end talent, as if college basketball is like the NBA in terms of not being much of a team game (which, as I said, is the argument that the cliche, casual fan would make, yet you took that personal...), all of this was in response to me saying Duke hasn't played anyone legitimate yet. If you say shit like this, I'm gonna call it out, especially if you're shit-talking my team and trying to argue with me about them. Now youre gonna root for Duke over that? Lmao. As you'd say, GTFOH.
He was a good athlete, but Kemp was an incredible athlete. I think Barkley was a more skilled basketball player. Also to be fair, we should probably make Zion suit up in the NBA before I start saying he's like a HOFer... lol
Not at all, he's just ignorant in this case. That's why I said his argument sounds ignorant and another one of them was the argument of a cliche fan. I never said he is a cliche fan or is ignorant when it comes to college basketball, and used specific wordage to make the distinction clear. He read too much into it, said I was making it personal when I was simply addressing his arguments. Also the "fanboy" thing is contradictory coming from him, as he's said I don't give certain Blazer players enough credit in the past. I don't fanboy, y'all know that.
That's kinda like telling your girlfriend "she's acting like a bitch". That never really goes over well.
I also didn't know that saying you don't know what you're talking about is the same as calling a girl a bitch...
Man. You just never stop. You gotta' get that last word in every time. Dviss, felt like you were talking down to him. Thats it. Ohhhh, I can't wait for your fiery comeback. #GetThatLastWord
Sigh... Yes bones, context matters: Context DOES matter... You've been getting mad thinking I called you fanboy when really... You just applied that term to yourself. The question is: Do you think Rui will have a problem guarding Zion or not? Because of you believe he will, then reading what I said above, the term fanboy wouldn't apply to you would it?
You have an issue with context. You're seeing that parallel when the one you should be seeing is when you say "sound ignorant". There's not really a respectful way to say that...
Not really. I've painted myself into a corner. I've said that Gonzaga is gonna get "ran in" by Duke. Since I've said that in front of God and country, I HAVE to root for them. And saying the Zags are gonna get beat isn't shit talking your team. It's coming to a realization that Duke has The Hulk on theirs.
"A problem" is very suggestive. A problem when compared to the average defender? No. I problem in general? Zion is a problem. But I think Rui is better suited than pretty much anyone on the college level to guard Zion due to his blend of size, strength, and athleticism, as well as playing in a sound defensive structure that provides proper help. You know I'm not a biased fanboy, based off how I post in here. I'm also not getting mad about anything, even though it may come across that way.
It's okay to be wrong. Literally everyone thinks that (Gonzaga doesn't get respect from most college basketball fans, just like the Blazers with NBA fans).
