Either out of position, turn the puck over at a ridiculous rate, or have no idea where the puck is (Holden). McDonagh is supposed to be our leader and he has not been good this year.

Why on earth would you have Staal out there at the end of this game?

The 3rd Pitt goal was ridiculous with Staal and McD on the same side of the ice but a great win. Good for Pavelec, always a great win when it's against Cindy.

The division is absurd. Almost nobody loses right now.

It has to start separating at some point. You figure some of those Atlantic teams start playing better. At least the games in hand have evened out. Rangers even have played a game or two less than a couple of teams.

Agreed, but home/road splits are still crazy tilted. We need to hope this team plays well on the road as they have in years past.

As for the dmen, if we are being real we are a mess in our own zone. We continue to leave guys wide open in front and we turn the puck over at an alarming rate. We won last night, but the 2nd and 3rd periods were filled with turnover after turnover in our own zone. It was crazy and we couldn't get out because we kept turning the puck over.

At this point I have low expectations that it will improve given it has been this way for the past 2 + seasons now. It is going to be darn hard to continue winning, and to win in the playoffs, if we are a turnover machine, but here's hoping we get it worked out.

Don't discount our number 1 center is out, our best defensive center. It is a big loss. At some point, a Nash deal must happen. I don't care about his defense. His offense sucks. Let him go to another team who needs a defensive, possession wing.

Its amazing to me despite our horrendous start we are only 4 point out of first and as mess says have a game or 2 in hand on some of the teams ahead of us. The defense continues to give up too many golden chances but our goaltending has been good. The pens are a fast team but a lot of the game I thought we looked faster than them. Loved the winning goal by buch off letting's skate which is usually what happens to us in reverse when we play the pens

Horrendous might even be an understatement, 6 points after their first 10 games then 26 points in their last 17. The Rangers success hinges on goaltending since the defense has frequent lapses, need a few spectacular saves a game. I think Nieves deserves a shot before making a move to raise the average age of the squad 3 years.

Unbelievable how inept some of these guys are.

Mcdonagh was beaten badly on that fourth goal.

Letting key points slip away at the end again. Until they make some kind of change with at least Holden it's going to be tough to get in the playoffs.
