Even if Tobias is a RFA make an offer and force Orlando to match.

Without LMA we are a 30 win team and with LMA we are a 50 win team and I do not think any more additions would change these estimates. anyone could respond to this.

Seeing our guys walk away one at a time and joining other teams is very disheartening. Also watching all the big free agents get signed and the Blazers are waiting...the longer the wait the worse the situation for us seems to get...Its hard to make sense out of this "new" roster and what is to come because it so different and on the low end of the scale to what we were all expecting.

The way i see it is if LA was on board he could have helped us get say Greg Monroe who chose Milwaukie over us probably no little part due to us not having a commitment from LA.

I don't begrudge Robin for taking so much ridiculous money from NY. They had to sign someone so overpaid to save face it seems. Wes to Dallas I respect more. He got paid and goes to a good team....Robin just got paid. Afflalo basically took the same from NY that he opted out of here. What a waste of a 1st round pick.

    Couple of things to note:

Our first round pick sent to DEN in Afflalo trade is Lottery Protected. So, if LMA doesn't resign with us, and we are a 30 win team - WE KEEP THIS PICK, as we won't make the playoffs in the West. Same for summer of 2016. Then, it becomes a 2nd round pick in 2018.

It is my belief that Olshey wanted to build this team around LMA, and he still can as of today 7/4/15, as LMA hasn't yet decided. So, all the whining may be for no good reason. The rest of the team IS BETTER in many ways. I agree it may be lacking in pure shooters as before. But, don't be fooled, these guys can play ball. Watch some video on each of them. We're more athletic, more energy, more hustle, etc. It is BETTER.

With current roster, we have about $25M in space left. And 4 roster spots.

LOL! This team sucks now! And there's no way in hell that Aldridge re-signs. This offseason has been an unmitigated disaster.

The Blazers have possibly lost four out of five starters, given contracts to league journeyman and traded for prospects in general..... this isn't just the worst offseason this team has ever f-cki ng had, it's one of the worst any pro team in recent memory!

You know, this is reminding me a bunch of 2007-08, where a bunch of young guys (with just a couple of solid vets) were supposed to have a "building" year after trading Z-Bo, and looking forward to cap space (I think KP was trying to get K*be until Miles played <300 minutes for MEM and killed our cap space). The only players we had over 24 were Blanky, Raef, James Jones and Przy. Roy was the unanimous-but-Swirsky RoY, and LMA was a useful piece with potential (9pt/5reb his rookie year). Souls were crushed because of Dance Dance Revolution-induced microfracture. We ended up winning 41 games with a squad that on paper has waay less talent than we do right now.

Very true. There's that master plan we know he's been building for 3 years. The one that centers around paying a PG with the worst defense in the league 25 million dollars a year. Wow. That's progress.

We're in tank mode now, and frankly I don't get it. I wanted us to re-sign everybody.

Confirmation that overvalue Batum and Lopez greatly. Aminu and Plumlee might have better stats this coming season and be paid less than half $.
