Hey I wish LMA was back with us but it's about reality bud. Someone is piss ing in your pocket and telling u its raining. Seriously, it's about the ping pong balls for the foreseeable future.
Maybe, maybe not. But to make a statement like this without seeing what we've completely done, then I want to keep my comments about future success on hold. I know many of you are saying "who's gonna come to us?" With 25 mil in cap space. That money can be used in lopsided trades. We have a lot of young talent to trade as well, if we decide to go that route. Whatever the case, this is truly the first year Olshey has a blank canvas to build his team. Let's not throw our only superstar signed right now under the bus so we have to go through this same shit 6 years down the road okay?
WAH WAH WAH BLAH BLAH BLAH... HINDSIGHT is 20/20 yet some of you are still blind and don't recall history. Lopez was a nobody when he came here. Wes was a nobody when he came here. Neither of these guys had solid starter numbers prior to entering Portland, but the situation they were put in played up to their strengths and provided growth. They excelled here. WHAT THE HELL MAKES ANY OF YOU THINK THE GUYS WE JUST PICKED UP WONT DO THE SAME???? They are seriously more athletic, scrappy, young balers that might just gel BETTER than what we previously had. How can anyone say this team is tanking or the worst in the west or anything when we haven't even had one scrimmage together? When putting a new lineup together, individual stats from previous teams are far less significant. I see a potential defensive beast of a team that will be able to run with anyone. Yeah still a couple pieces shy and another all star, but again, how do we not know one or two of our guys wont break out this season? Flippin paranoia to the max around here. THERE IS NO WAY NEIL HOLDS ON TO THE CAP SPACE HE HAS UNLESS HE THINKS WE STILL HAVE A LEGIT SHOT AT LMA. IT AINT OVER PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You add LMA to this line up and I think we are a 50 win team, but here is the thing, we will probably start slow as we learn each other, but get it rolling in the second half. UNLIKE years past. We will be the team rolling into the playoffs that NO ONE wants to face. LETS JUST STAY HEALTHY AND RELAX PEOPLE!! YOU ALL ARE GIVING ME THE HEART ATTACKS, NOT LMA!!! lol.
No. You're right. That could happen if we dont appreciate our only superstar guard. Why should I be pessimistic. It's not the Blazers best player has demanded to be traded before? Should I get a time machine back to the mid-ninties?
Don't know what we have til they play together. You never know, it will be open competition at every position except PG. This team could end up being a decent squad that can grow together. Not going to worry when we haven't seen them play one game yet. I'm pretty stoked to see how it turns out to be honest.
+> Maybe Rolo wants to hang around with his brother. That is one advantage. Maybe Rolo will get a NYC hair styling and wear all black like all the upper crust dudes. .
If this team gels around DAME and does make the playoffs with a first round exit, nothing is lost and they actually stay relevent.
We shall see, but your so negative around here, don't think you won't be having this bumped if your wrong. We have more lotto picks on our team now than Golden State. Other than Curry, name another player on that team that was a known winning baller prior to joining them? Buncha role players built around arguably the best shooter in history. And when they came together they became better and built individual names for themselves. Sounds like the Blazers of a couple years ago...Was Kyle anyone prior to Curry? I am optimistic that we will be fighting for the 7-9 spot next year and normally that's a bad place to be, but not for us., It will give us a year to assess all this young talent we have and have a decent amount of cap space to fill in the missing pieces after we trade away the anyone who hasn't worked out and fit the mold of the new era. Are we contenders next year? Hell no, But I sure like our chances to be potential contenders two to three years from now and if all the other guys really wanted out, this off season has been a win so far for Olshey in my book....considering. He has set this up to short and sweet so far. Also you have no clue that some team might trade us that second all star for a couple of our young players and all of a sudden we have that number two and hopefully still a solid bench. To just say we are gonna suck, is just a short term statement befitting of your short term thinking. Pretty funny considering your name says your smarter than me.........
You should review my posting history. I am not a negative poster. I just call it like I see it. And I see a train wreck.
