Roy's playing for Minnesota had zero impact on cap space. That was why I was so pissed at Wallace, not because Darius Miles didn't want to give up playing in the NBA without knowing for sure he was done.
Where did I say he did it for me? That I appreciated it, and still appreciate those memories, is on me, not Roy. If people hate Roy, that's on them, not Roy. Stop putting words into my mouth. EDIT - I'll also point out that you're assigning motives to Roy's actions, not me. I just respect and will always respect what he did on the court. If Paul Allen is pissed at Roy for the $17m, then that's between Allen and Roy. Somehow I don't think Paul cares a bit, though.
That was only a tertiary shaft that couldn't have occurred without the primary and secondary shaft provided by Roy and Pritchard respectively.
The situations aren't at all similar, since Roy was amnestied and had zero impact on cap space when he signed with Minnesota, but whatever. I expect very few anti-Roy people on this board will even care, and will continue to construct false criticisms, with this one being added to the list.
I'm sorry that Williams won't be #7. Fans could have gotten this bugaboo out of their systems. If Roy's number is ever retired, it won't be for years. Meanwhile, are we supposed to go through this nonsense with every new player? Just give someone the number so people can get over it.
Anyone have any info if Roy is going to try to make another comeback or is he definitely done with the NBA?
How much money did Roy make for Paul Allen on that rookie contract? More than $17m, I'd say, since you literally could get free tickets to games prior to Roy being drafted, in hopes that you'd spend some money on concessions.
Papa you are our Travis Outlaw..... tons of athleticism and potential, but other then a couple game winners you haven't brought much to the table!
Perhaps the perfect match. Brilliant at times, disinterested at others, emotional always, and seems to fade away when things get to heated in the battle. It makes perfect sense. I really think I posted something similar to this years ago about you, KS.
